Steven Inman

With a long-held passion for excellence in education, Steve’s professional career is a blend of business and educational experiences.  Most recently, he worked for a $3 billion advertising firm in revenue management.  Prior to that, Steve spent over ten years gaining successive managerial experience for two Fortune 500 transportation companies in marketing, revenue management, and revenue accounting roles.  Combined, these roles have provided him with substantial executive level leadership and management experience in rapidly changing and growing organizations. Concurrently, he authored the supplementary teaching materials for a college textbook on three editions. Before his transition into business, Steve taught social studies, coached track and field, and helped found a community service club at Glendale High School in Arizona.  Steve was born in the Phoenix area which is where he currently resides with his wife and four children.   
Steve holds a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from Arizona State University and received his Master of Business Administration degree from Texas Christian University.

Yesenia Fitzhugh

Yesenia Fitzhugh serves as Founding Principal, EAGLE College Prep: Maryvale.   Yesenia has a diverse background, including growing up in Maryvale, teaching 6th grade in a community composed largely of migrant students, and in working with “at-risk” students and teachers who serve those students, which the targeted area is primarily made up of.  Additionally, she has successfully created and maintained a comprehensive English Language Learner (ELL) program for three years and implemented a school-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) initiative thus far at EAGLE College Prep: SM. She has also served as the Dean of Students at EAGLE where she was responsible for student discipline, school culture, and coaching teachers.  Yesenia strongly believes that all students can achieve at high levels and that this can be accomplished through effective teaching, systems, and partnerships with parents and the community.  Furthermore, she uses data-driven instruction to create high levels of student achievement.

As the founding leader, she is the driving force in the successful opening and subsequent development of EAGLE College Prep: Maryvale.  She will continuously build a high performing K-8 school where students start on the road to college and build their character preparing them for lives as Serving Leaders, create a school that is a sustainable, replicable, and scalable for academic success, and successfully pioneer a hybrid model school utilizing technology to increase effectiveness and efficiency.  Yesenia received her Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University and is part of the New Schools for Phoenix initiative.

Tina Abaie, Dean of Students

Tina Abaie

Mrs. Tina Abaie joins our EAGLE team as Dean of Students!  Mrs. Abaie is responsible for student discipline, building a positive school culture, and coaching fellow teachers.  She has a master’s degree in educational leadership and bachelor’s degree in elementary education, both from Arizona State University.  Mrs. Abaie has experience teaching kindergarten, first grade, and sixth through eighth grade language arts.  She has presented at a national Leader-in-Me conference, implemented a district-wide professional development on the adoption of Arizona College and Career Ready Standards, and facilitated data-driven, content-focused professional learning communities.  She has also served as a member of a school-wide discipline committee.
